What you can do at home
- Keep doors and windows closed.
- Go outside after it rains, if possible.
- Wash your hair and clothes after spending time outdoors.
- Ask a pharmacist whether over-the-counter medications may help.
- Going outside when it is very hot and windy.
- Contact with plants that cause allergies (e.g., ragweed).
- Using air conditioning systems that bring in outdoor air.
- Drying laundry outdoors.
- Mowing the lawn or raking leaves.
- Headache or pain around the eyes
- Tooth pain

Go to the pharmacy for advice on medications or treatment.
Make an appointment at your medical clinic or CLSC.
If you do not have a family doctor, go to gap.soinsvirtuels or call 811, Option 3
- Breathing is becoming increasingly difficult, even at rest.
- There is a high-pitched sound when breathing (stridor).
- The stomach or chest pulls in with each breath (retractions).
- People with a weakened immune system (immunocompromised).
- Pregnant people.
- Infants under 3 months old.
